The Kern Literacy Council has a limited number of copies of the acclaimed book, Sleep Baby Safe and Snug, courtesy of a grant from Junior League of Bakersfield. They have teamed up with First 5 Kern and the Safe Sleep Coalition to distribute copies of the book to families throughout Kern County in an effort to decrease SIDS cases in our community. This board book is available in English and Spanish, and were written by a pediatrician and produced by the Charlie’s Kids Foundation in order to share with parents the easy steps to create a safe sleep environment for babies.
Only a limited number of books will be available, and we are asking that each agency request no more than 60 English and 30 Spanish copies. Please fill out the form below, including an explanation of how your agency intends to distribute the books to parents. The number of copies that your agency will receive will be based on the number of requests and your intended distribution.
The order period will be open through March 31, 2019. The books will be ready for pick up at the April 12 meeting of the Safe Sleep Coalition of Kern County, held at the First 5 offices at 2724 L St. in Bakersfield at 10:00 a.m.
