Strategic Plan
The 2009-10 Strategic Plan provides for a comprehensive system to support early childhood development in Kern County, and the focus areas, objectives and results indicators used as a roadmap to assist in making its vision a reality. Click on the link below to access the current Strategic Plan.
The Strategic Plan reflects the Commission's desire to affect real change in outcomes for Kern County's youngest children and their families. It addresses the needs of children prenatal to age five with a special focus on prevention, and represents the Commissioners' synthesis on how to best use its resources to create long-term positive results for young children and their families in Kern County.
As mandated by the law, the Strategic Plan is reviewed annually and revised, if necessary. The Strategic Plan, along with the Five-Year Financial Plan, guides the funding priorities for the next three to five years.
